A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
The sport of sailing transformed my life. My first ocean sailing passage was aboard a 50’ sailboat to Bermuda from Tortola in June 2017. One night, while captain and three crew mates slept, the incomprehensible number of stars crystalized the reality that a vast amount of darkness circled us. I was solo at the helm, 850 miles from land, navigating 4-foot waves in 26,000 feet of water – minus a propeller that had fallen off into the ocean depths hours before.
I relaxed my shoulders and smiled as I realized I approach life the same way I approach sailing – with courage, willingness, resilience, and a sense of adventure!
Navigating the business world began as a teenager and led me through the ports of business management, coaching, firm administration, financial and investment planning, human resources, banking, risk management, accounting and finance, captive insurance, and hospitality.
The ocean, like business and life, is in perpetual motion and not always a smooth passage. You can encounter rough seas, lose your sense of balance or direction, experience darkness, or get becalmed. Alternative aids to navigation are needed to manage these disruptions.
It is a special thrill and privilege for me to help create positive change in individuals’ lives and businesses; to be an aid to navigation. I am a generous listener with a fresh perspective and sense of fun as I bring my experience in service to others.
